Manchester United seemingly have concerete interest in Sofyan Amrabat.

Sky Sports had announced earlier today that the Red Devils were monitoring the midfielder and the Daily Mail have since released a report confirming that he is a target for Erik ten Hag this summer.

Their article suggests that United had pursued Amrabat in January but had no luck due to Fiorentina’s reluctance to sanction a mid-season exit, which led to the club acquiring Marcel Sabitzer on loan from Bayern Munich.

Now, Ten Hag is keen on bolstering his midfield for the season ahead and has reignited interest in the 26-year-old, whom the Serie A club will sell for a fee of £30 million.

Departures key for Ten Hag’s budget

United are hoping to raise funds through player sales after parting with £55m in a deal that sees Mason Mount make the switch from Blue to Red. The Dutch manager has outlined Amrabat as a direct replacement for Fred, who is expected to leave in the coming weeks and has already garnered attraction from Fulham.
