Manchester United are ready to pay £30million to land Spanish playmaker Ander Herrera. United failed with a £25m bid for the Atletico Bilbao playmaker yesterday but are poised to up their bid before Monday’s transfer deadline. Old Trafford boss David Moyes turned his attention to Herrera after United failed in their bid to sign Barcelona and Spain midfielder Cesc Fabregas. Despite being knocked back by Bilbao over Herrera United are said to be prepared to go back in with a fresh bid and meet the £30m release clause in his contract. United who have had two bids for Everton duo Marouabne Fellaini and Leighton Baines turned down have also been rebuffed by Roma after offering £10.25m for their midfielder Daniel De Rossi.
