Chelsea have a unique opportunity to bring one of their former players back to Stamford Bridge this summer should they decide to do so.
Tammy Abraham was a bit of a fan favourite at Stamford Bridge being a player who came through the academy, but there was an acceptance when he left to join Jose Mourinho at Roma that it was probably the best idea for all at that time.
With FFP a concern, a look at how much Chelsea can make by selling loan players alone!
Chelsea have an option to buy him back this summer for £70.3m after putting a clause in the sale. We have yet to hear whether Chelsea are even contemplating doing this or not, but Abraham himself has refused to rule out a return to his former club in recent comments made, as picked up below by Fabrizio Romano.
Although as you can see, he also maintains that he is only focused on Roma right now but continues to leave his future open.
Tammy Abraham on Chelsea: “Never say never in football. Right now, my focus is on Roma — I’ve no other plans. Maybe I’ll stay at Roma for the next ten years, maybe not. You never know”, told Four Four Two.
