AC Milan have joined the race to sign Lazio forward Felipe Anderson whose contract expires at the end of the season, a report claims.

Milan have always been attentive to potential low-cost opportunities having been stung by players leaving on free transfers in the past, and last summer saw another winger arrive from Lazio on a Bosman in Luka Romero.

According to what reported by Il Messaggero (via MilanWorld), the operation could be repeated with Anderson a target. In fact, they paper claim that it is Zlatan Ibrahimovic would like to bring the Brazilian forward to Milan.

The former West Ham United and Porto man is on an expiring deal with Lazio and at the moment there is nothing to suggest that an extension is imminent, which has attracted various clubs.

Ibrahimovic wants to understand if there are margins to be able to close the deal within satisfactory economic parameters, but Juventus also want the 30-year-old so there could well be some strong competition

So far this season Anderson has racked up three goals and seven assists in 30 Serie A appearances for the capital club, with an assist in the Champions League to his name too. He has 316 games under his belt with the Biancocelesti, and a return of 56 goals and 63 assists.
