AC Milan are planning an ambitious summer transfer window that should see them make signings in each department, and they have a plan to help finance the incoming operations too.

According to this morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below), Milan will invest a large part of their budget on a new striker but they will also sign adefensive midfielder and a full-back, with two names are circled on their wish list: Emerson Royal and Youssouf Fofana.

The Spurs defender and the Monaco midfielder would cost around €50m in transfer fees (€30m and €20m respectively), and that remains a significant sum for Milan who look for value in every signing that they make.

Thus, it will require in-depth evaluations especially since the Rossoneri plan to invest more or less the same amount for the new centre-forward, which makes the summer spending potentially around €100m before any other signings have been taken into consideration.

However, an assist can come from Charles De Ketelaere and Alexis Saelemaekers. Atalanta and Bologna will exercise their option to buy clauses and they should bring in around €32m combines.

The other road leads to a Tonali-style signing, i.e. a star player sold for a monstrous sum. This scenario is not in Milan’s plans, but it can never be ruled out while there is interest from top clubs.
