Lyon have made Rayan Cherki available in a cut-price deal and AC Milan are one of the clubs that have registered an interest, a report claims.

After the sacking of Fabio Grosso and the 3-0 defeat in Marseille, Lyon’s crisis continues. They are bottom of the table with just seven points, putting them six points from safety and with only one victory in the season.

Calciomercato.com report that their American owner John Textor will be forced to put the prized pieces of the squad on the market, among which the most coveted is unquestionably Rayan Cherki who was the subject of interest from Chelsea and West Ham last season.

During the last January transfer window Paris Saint-Germain made a timid approach, while Lyon have made the decision to cash in because there is seemingly no chance of a renewal (current deal expiring in June 2025) and the forward wishes to leave.

In Ligue 1 so far Cherki has had a disappointing season like that of his team, with zero goals and only one assist in 859 minutes. Overwhelmed by internal problems, he was even accused of being the ‘mole’ in the dressing room leaking information.

Cherki is valued at €20m, with an annual salary of €3.5m net per season. The report  Juventus and Milan, with the former having often followed it and the latter aiming for this type of investment.
