AC Milan’s Primavera side came from behind against Frosinone to secure a crucial 2-1 win in Sunday afternoon’s game at the PUMA House of Football.

Milan came into the game one point behind Sassuolo who occupy fifth place in the table and one point below Torino in sixth too, having failed to win in each of their three league games since the UEFA Youth League final defeat.

It looked like being another difficult afternoon against the rock-bottom team in the league when Frosinone took the lead early on. It could hardly have been any simpler either, as a corner from the right by Selvini was headed in by Luna.

However, the Rossoneri dragged themselves level in the 16th minute and the goal came from Alessandro Bonomi. A direct ball in behind ended up being perfectly placed for the forward to get there ahead of the goalkeeper and prod it between his legs into the far corner.

Just when it looked like the game was drifting towards a draw that does little for the play-off ambitions, Milan got the winner with five minutes left. A cross from the right by Magni to Sia saw his shot blocked by the Frosinone defence, but then it fell to the feet of Scotti, who found the roof of the net from deep inside the box.

The last game of the season is away against Torino next weekend, and given how close they are in the table it is set up to be a mouth-watering clash.
