AC Milan’s Primavera side secured progress into the final four of the UEFA Youth League as they beat Braga in a penalty shootout after a dramatic 2-2 draw.

It could have been an ideal start for Milan 12 minutes into the game when the Braga goalkeeper Carvalho brought down Sia inside the box resulting in a penalty kick, but he made up for it by tipping Scotti’s spot kick onto the post.

Scotti then redeemed himself as he set up the opening goal in the 24th minute with an excellent dribble past his man to then set up Diego Sia at the far post who tapped into a virtually empty net.

Midway through the second half the away side got themselves level when Furtado’s feed allowed Rodrigues to finish, but then five minutes later Kevin Zeroli backheeled a Davide Bartesaghi cross in to restore the Rossoneri’s advantage.

It looked as though a late save from Raveyre was enough to seal progress, but Furtado’s goal after four added minutes out of five brought Braga back to 2-2 and took the game to a penalty shootout.

The first miss in the shootout came from Braga’s Kelvin, but then Malaspina saw his attempt saved as well. Raveyre thwarted Rodrigues, allowing Zeroli to score the spot kick that earned a 4-2 win on penalties.
