AC Milan have been enjoying a positive spell on the pitch since Zlatan Ibrahimovic returned to the club in a new role.

As highlighted by Milan News, the Rossoneri have been in fine form with Ibrahimovic at the club, which is perhaps part of the reason for his growing responsibilities.

Ibrahimovic came back to the club earlier this season in a Senior Advisor role between RedBird Capital Group and Milan, with Gerry Cardinale using the Swede as a ‘man on the ground’ in Milan to stay across the daily happenings that Cardinale cannot see from the United States of America.

The team has played 22 matches since Ibrahimovic made his return in this rather vague role, and Milan have managed to win 16 of them, draw three, and lose the other three.

One of these defeats was an irrelevant one in the Europa League where the tie was already wrapped up in Milan’s favour, one was a controversial loss in the Coppa Italia against Atalanta, and the other was the poor showing against Monza.

It is certainly too simplistic to lay this achievement at Ibrahimovic’s door, but his constant presence around the team clearly is not having a negative effect on proceedings.
