Minnows Lining Up to Lure Inter Outcast in January

Inter elected to keep Stefano Sensi in the squad following an encouraging season at Monza, especially health-wise, as he managed to avoid injuries for the most part. However, he has played very little so far. He could be on the move in January. A few smaller teams are interested in his services.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Genoa and the Brianzoli have shown interest. Adriano Galliani is the main proponent of the deal, while coach Raffaele Palladino isn’t so eager to have him back. He benched him a few times in the final matches of the previous campaign.

Cagliari have touched base too, but they are more lukewarm. In any case, Sensi is poised to leave Inter in 2024. His expiring contract will not be renewed. He’ll do it naturally in June if no team convinces the Nerazzurri during the next transfer market session.

The midfielder has tallied just 17 minutes thus far. On top of their top-shelf regulars, the current Serie A leaders have signed Davy Klaassen last summer, further reducing his chances of featuring. He wasn’t inserted in their UEFA list and missed time with a muscular problem earlier in September.

His salary is bulky for the minnows, and it remains to be seen whether Inter will facilitate his exit money-wise. Genoa are already stacked in the midfield, while Monza could use some inventiveness. He’d be a good fit for Cagliari too.
