From Awful Advertising:

While the interwebs were abuzz over the latest H&M ad featuring David Beckham showing off his assets, some Debbie Downer felt the need to reveal something shocking.

Apparently, according to the Today Show, H&M used a body double for some parts of the video shoot. Then H&M actually confirmed it:

"David was very involved in the advert, including doing most of the stunts. Due to his tight schedule, a body double was used in smaller parts of the video."

Is that PR-speak for "his butt isn't tight enough?" Is Beckham's body not perfect enough for H&M? I know body doubles are used in movies all the time, but this man is a professional athlete. If even HIS body isn't cutting it for H&M in "smaller parts" of the video, what hope do the rest of us have?

Victoria's Secret does the same thing, and maybe it is just a reality we need to expect. In advertising, we always see products in their best-case scenario, which is probably why H&M chose to use Beckham to hock their underwear to begin with.

It's not surprising that H&M would want to use the best male body they could, but when even Beckham isn't good enough, it makes me worry.

PLAYERS: David Beckham
5 Comments:
  • I guess will start calling this butt-syncing and It's amazing that there are acually butt models out there.
  • I'm destroyed
  • His butt is fine. I was hoping to see more of his "stuff" in swollen glory, but he musta been sucking in up into his body. It was nowhere man. Like ... he was a Ken doll down THERE.. yeah. Nothing even for the imagination. Its a pity, really. Just a pity.

Notre Dame WR faces discipline if he hooked up with porn star?

Notre Dame freshman wide receiver Justin Brent may face disciplinary action by the school if he actually had sex with porn star Lisa Ann.  The photo below sure looks incriminating.
