Napoli are pushing to beat the likes of Inter Milan and Juventus to the signature of Genoa forward Albert Gudmundsson.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews.

It has looked probable for some time now that Gudmundsson will leave Genoa this summer.

The Icelandic international has had an outstanding campaign for the Grifone. He has scored fourteen goals in Serie A so far this season, as well as assisting a further three.

Naturally, the transfer interest in Gudmundsson is therefore beginning to build.

There is interest from the Premier League.

But it is from the big clubs in Serie A that there is particular interest in Gudmundsson’s signature.

Therefore, Gudmundsson could have his pick of clubs.

Napoli Pushing To Beat Inter & Juventus To Signature Of Albert Gudmundsson

Reports have long indicated major interest in former AZ Alkmaar man Gudmundsson on the part of Inter.

The Nerazzurri reportedly see the 26-year-old as their preferred target in attack. Coach Simone Inzaghi is keen to bring in a forward, and Gudmundsson’s characteristics suit the profile he wants.

Then, there is also interest on the part of Juventus.

The Bianconeri are aiming to add attacking firepower after what has been a slumping second half of the season where they have dropped out of the title race completely.

Moreover, Sky notes, Juventus could try to tempt Genoa with a player-plus-cash offer.

Fabio Miretti and Enzo Barrenechea are among the players who the Turin giants could offer to Genoa.

In any event, Genoa will want around €30 million to sell Gudmundsson.

But it is not just Inter and Juventus who are keen on the Icelander.

Sky report that Napoli are also very keen on signing Gudmundsson.

Moreover, the Partenopei are preparing to move fast. They’re well aware of the competition for the Genoa forward’s signature, and want to get their move in quickly and decisively.
