Napoli are very active on the transfer market, as Hamed Junior Traore passed his medical today for a move from Bournemouth and it’s reported Hellas Verona striker Cyril Ngonge will have his tests tomorrow.

The Partenopei won the Scudetto last season, but have floundered under both Rudi Garcia and now Walter Mazzarri, so President Aurelio De Laurentiis is trying to reboot their squad in the January window.

A deal has already been done to bring Traore on loan from Bournemouth with an option to buy for €25m.

The former Sassuolo midfielder, whose brother is Manchester United striker Amad Diallo, underwent his medical today and reportedly passed, so the announcement of his signing will likely be made tomorrow morning.

Meanwhile, Sky Sport Italia report that an agreement was also reached with Verona for wide attacker Ngonge, for €18m plus another €2m in bonuses.

The player has also seemingly given the all-clear and could have his medical on Wednesday.

Ngonge had also been a target for Fiorentina, Milan and Aston Villa, but Napoli were the most determined to get his signature over the line.

De Laurentiis is not done yet, as Sportitalia also claim negotiations are in full flow for Fiorentina creative midfielder Antonin Barak.

While Napoli want it to be a loan with option to buy, the Viola are pushing for some sort of obligation to buy if certain conditions are met.
