Newcastle defender Emil Krafth counting days ahead of return

Newcastle defender Emil Krafth is counting on returning successful from last year's ACL injury.

The Swede suffered the setback last August.

"I was probably in the best stage of my career, I would say," recalled Krafth to The Athletic.

"The timing was not good, but there is never good timing for an injury. Mine was just unlucky. It could happen. It's just part of the game. You have to look ahead and make your rehab as good as possible and come back stronger."

Krafth is now close to making a comeback.

"It will probably be the best day of my life," he adds.
