Mesut Oezil and Sami Khedira will join Germany's preparations for the European Championship five days later than planned due to a friendly organized by Real Madrid. The German football federation says they will not join the rest of the squad until May 20. Both players are due to play for Real in a friendly arranged at short notice against Kuwait on May 16. Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich players are also delayed, due to Saturday's German Cup final, while Bayern players will begin preparations only after their Champions League final against Chelsea on May 19. Germany's available players fly to Sardinia for a weeklong training camp on Friday, with the delayed players joining up at another training camp in southern France.
