AC Milan have officially confirmed that Junior Messias has left the club to join Genoa on what will be an initial loan deal.

On their official website, Milan have announced that Walter Junior Messias has joined Genoa CFC on loan with an obligation to buy, upon agreed conditions.

At the same time, the club have extended Messias’ contract until 30 June 2025. This is done in order to facilitate the loan element, so it does not run out at the same time as his contract is up.

The club go on to wish Messias all the best in his new adventure with Genoa, who have just achieved promotion back to Serie A at the first time of asking, earning automatic promotion at the first attempt under head coach Alberto Gilardino.

The Brazilian leaves the Rossoneri after two seasons with 68 appearances, 12 goals (10 in Serie A and 2 in the Champions League) and five assists in order to start a new challenge.
