Only A Matter Of Time Before Porto & Iran Star Completes Inter Milan Transfer

The clock is ticking – it is only a matter of time before 31-year-old Iran international Mehdi Taremi joins Inter Milan from Porto.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.

At the moment, Taremi is still a Porto player. The striker’s contract with the Portuguese giants runs until the end of June.

However, it is now only a matter of time before the Iranian’s time at his current club comes to an end.

Taremi has not signed an extension to his current deal with Porto.

Rather, the 31-year-old has long made his decision to instead sign a contract with Inter.

Therefore, at the end of June when Taremi’s current deal expires, he will become a Nerazzurri player.

Mehdi Taremi Weeks From Becoming An Inter Milan Player

Naturally, out of respect for the fact that Taremi is still under contract with Porto, Inter will not make anything official prematurely.

But that does not mean things are not already set in stone.

Taremi has in fact made his decision months ago.

And Tuttosport note that the 31-year-old has already undergone his medicals.

There had been a bit of a hitch in that process when reports about Taremi’s medicals leaked in the media. Inter, Porto, and the player’s camp were irritated that the process did not fly under the radar, and so the medicals were postponed.

But eventually, Taremi did undergo them.

And moreover, Tuttosport confirm that Taremi’s brother has already spent time in the city of Milan.

The player is preparing for life in Italy on and off the pitch.

Taremi will sign for Inter as a non-EU player, as he has not managed to obtain Portuguese citizenship just yet.
