Parma are back in Serie A three seasons after getting relegated. The Ducali clinched a top-two finish with three matches to go by drawing with Bari on Wednesday after their chasers, Venezia and Como, failed to claim all three points in their respective matches earlier in the midweek round.

The Gialloblù have been at the top of the second division for almost the entire campaign. They have lost just four times and swooned a little recently with the finish line in sight.

Parma are headed for their 27th Serie A appearance after temporarily bidding farewell to it in 2020/2021. They spend most of the ensuing campaign in the middle of the table. Instead, they were competitive in the previous one, losing in the play-off semifinal after concluding the regular season in fourth position.

The Emilian side is led by Fabio Pecchia, whom they successfully poached from Cremonese despite their promotion in 2022. He’s returning to the top flight as well. He helmed Hellas Verona for a rough campaign in 2017, which ended with the relegation. He managed Japanese team Avispa Fukuoka, Juventus U-23, and the Grigiorossi afterward.

Parma have been carried on the pitch by former Manchester City prodigy Adrian Bernabé, Romanian international Dennis Man, Polish talent Adrian Benedzyczak and French starlet Ange-Yoan Bonny. They have been governed by American entrepreneur Kyle Krause since 2020. They won the Club Winners’ Cup, the UEFA Cup, and the Coppa Italia three times during their heyday in the 90’s.
