Antonio Conte’s name continues to be mentioned in conjunction with that of AC Milan as they look for a new club and a new head coach respectively.

Conte has been out of work since he left Spurs around a year ago and he seems ready to take on a new challenge. The problem is that the right challenge hasn’t presented itself to him yet.

The former Juventus and Inter boss wants to return to coaching in Serie A but at the moment there doesn’t seem to be anything advanced with any club, possibly because they are put off by the fact he usually demands investment and a high pay packet.

Now, the journalist Alfredo Pedulla (via PianetaMilan) has given the latest update on the future of Conte including what he would demand in terms of salary.

“Conte asked for a base of 7 million plus a couple of million bonuses, possibly starting again without European competitions would not be a problem, the squad should be adjusted with four signings for the starting eleven,” he said.

“Juve (who are waiting for Thiago Motta) have never been in for Conte, Milan so far have not taken the steps that the Rossoneri fans would like.

“We will see if things will change from tomorrow, but for the moment this is certainly the case. ADL has the cards in hand and the availability of the Salento coach, now it depends on him.”
