AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli is set to name an attacking side for today’s game against Genoa at San Siro, according to a report.

This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below) reports that Marco Sportiello will take the place of the injured Mike Maignan in goal, with Alessandro Florenzi, Matteo Gabbia, Fikayo Tomori and Theo Hernandez the back four ahead of him.

Ismael Bennacer and Tijjani Reijnders are tipped to be the double pivot, and given that Ruben Loftus-Cheek is injured it will be Christian Pulisic who takes his spot as the attacking midfielder.

Samuel Chukwueze will be deployed on the right side of the attack, with Rafael Leao on the left and Olivier Giroud leading the line.

Milan will still be without six players for the game, with the two most notable absences being Maignan and Loftus-Cheek. The likes of Noah Okafor, Yacine Adli, Pierre Kalulu and Malick Thiaw should be named on the bench.

Gilardino himself admitted that there was a chance Gudmundsson could miss the game for Genoa, and the paper believe he will not be available.

Predicted Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Sportiello; Florenzi, Gabbia, Tomori, Theo Hernandez; Bennacer, Reijnders; Chukwueze, Pulisic, Leao; Giroud.

Predicted Genoa XI (3-5-2): Martinez; Vogliacco, De Winter, Vasquez; Sabelli, Thorsby, Badelj, Frendrup, Martin; Ekuban, Retegui.
