A late strike from former Arsenal striker Eduardo three minutes before time gave Croatia a tough 2-1 victory over Wales at Swansea's Liberty Stadium. A first-half penalty from Gareth Bale looked like giving Chris Coleman's side some hope in their World Cup qualifying Group A campaign until two goals in the last 13 minutes dashed their dreams. Bale had also missed a gilt-edged chance in the first half that could have helped Wales close to within four points of their opponents - but Croatia showed why they are unbeaten so far by keeping on going right until the end. Dejan Lovren got the breakthrough on 77 minutes with his strike from distance swerving just in front of the otherwise excellent Boaz Myhill, before Eduardo made up for some earlier missed chances by firing home the 87th-minute winner.
