Manuel Ugarte kicked off his first season with Paris Saint-Germain on a high note, leaving a solid impression early on. However, as the season unfolded, he gradually found himself slipping down the pecking order, with his playing time often restricted to substitute or rotation appearances.

The Uruguayan is linked to AC Milan and Juventus, as the Serie A side would be keen on landing the player to give him more playing time.

Ugarte started in PSG’s 3-1 loss on Sunday night at the Parc des Princes. The 23-year-old played the full 90 minutes, and after the match, he was asked about his future, considering the rumors about him in recent weeks.

“We’ll see,” Ugarte told Amazon Prime (h/t Paris Fans). “I would love to [stay at PSG]. We’ll have to see. For now, I’m here and enjoying the end of the season.”

The capital club spent €60 million to secure Ugarte from Sporting Lisbon, triumphing over competition from Chelsea in the process. It will be interesting to see if a full offseason with PSG does the midfielder well to ensure he can sustain the success he had in the first half of this season.
