The agent of Alphonso Davies has hit out at Bayern Munich.

The Canada wing-back is a target for Real Madrid ahead of the summer market.

Bayern have presented a contract until 2029 worth around 14m-a-year. But management also demanded a response within a week. If he does not accept the offer, he will be put up for sale.

Now Davies' agent Nedal Huoseh has responded, telling BILD: "It is unfair that Alphonso is now being attacked. We were close to an agreement a year ago. Then the entire club management was replaced. We heard nothing for seven months, even though I myself tried to contact the club during this time.

"Now we get an ultimatum and have to react within two weeks because the club is under pressure and took a long time to reposition itself in management? It's not fair.

"It is a very important contract in Alphonso's career and we have to make the decision without knowing who the coach will be next season or what the team looks like. That is why we think it is unfair to react to the ultimatum. We will decide how to proceed at the end of the season when there is more clarity."
