Earlier this week, it was revealed that Aurelien Tchouameni had suffered a foot injury during the victory over Bayern Munich on Wednesday. His expected lay-off is 3-4 weeks, which would place his involvement in the Champions League final in doubt.

Tchouameni has been ever-present for Real Madrid this season, aside from a six-week spell between October and December when he was sidelined with an injury in the same foot that he has hurt again. His absence against Borussia Dortmund on the 1st of June would be a big blow, although he himself expects to be available for the showpiece event at Wembley Stadium, as he told Radio MARCA (via Marca).

“I think I’ll make it to the final.”

Tchouameni was spotted with a protective boot and crutch during Real Madrid’s La Liga title-winning celebrations on Sunday, which would have sparked more fears of his unavailability for the Champions League final. He will be desperate to play some part in London, and Ancelotti will also be very keen to have him available.
