Sergio Conceicao could be making his last games in charge of Porto this month, having been linked with the AC Milan job for next season. According to a report, the contract termination isn’t expected to be a problem, but rather the opposite.

Conceicao recently signed a new contract with Porto, valid until 2028, and his salary is around €3.5m net. As reported by Maisfutebol, in the event of a termination initiated by Porto, the manager would be entitled to a compensation fee or potentially the full contract value.

However, if Conceicao were to initiate the termination, then there would be no fee involved. The manager has already made it known to Porto that he will void the compensation fee if it comes to that. He loves the club too much and will only ‘charge’ for the time he’s there.

Furthermore, although there will be a meeting between him and Andre Villas-Boas, no issues are foreseen for the termination which will be ‘amicable’. The report also adds that this termination will take just a few days, though the parties are currently focused on the season finale.

Milan have Conceicao at the top of their wish list and the manager is ready to say yes to the project, with a contract worth around €3.5m per year on the table.
