It looks like being a busy summer ahead for Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool as the German tries to rebuild his flagging squad after a dismal season.

After going close on all four fronts a year ago, the Reds have struggled to reach their previous heights under the 55-year-old who has admitted himself that reinforcements are needed at Anfield.

The main focus appears to be in midfield with Klopp reported to be targetting Jude Bellingham, Mason Mount, and Matheus Nunes to add fresh impetus to his engine room, and cater for the loss of the likes of Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain who are out of contract at the end of the season.

It is also likely that the Anfield hierarchy will do some transfer business in the centre of defence with Nathaniel Phillips likely to leave and with the indifferent form of Joel Matip and Joe Gomez alongside Virgil van Dijk.

According to Tuttosport (via Sport Witness), Liverpool are at the 'forefront' of the race for Torino defender Per Schuurs who impressed during his time at Ajax against the Reds in the Champions League.

The Italian publication claims Klopp has wanted the 23-year-old for some time and the club is 'ready to offer' €50million for his services but will face competition from the likes of Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, and PSG.
