Juventus could offer Monza midfielder Fabio Miretti as part of a deal to nab Andrea Colpani ahead of Inter Milan.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.

Coipani has clearly emerged as a major target for both Inter and Juventus.

The reason why italy’s biggest clubs are keen on the 24-year-old is not hard to see.

Colpani has had a roaring start to the season so far. He has found the back of the net six times from midfield.

This has earned the Monza midfielder call-ups for the Italian national team.

Given Colpani’s age and the trajectory of his development, there is a sense that signing the newly-minted Azzurri midfielder would be a real coup for whoever manages to get his signature.

And according to Tuttosport, Juventus have a plan to try and sign Colpani ahead of Inter.

Juventus Could Offer Monza Miretti + Cash For Colpani Ahead Of Inter

Naturally, Colpani’s form this season means that he will not come cheap.

Reports suggest that Monza will want no less than €20 million to sell the 24-year-old.

This would be no small expenditure for either Inter or Juventus. Italian football is not the financial juggernaut that it was in the past, and both the Nerazzurri and the Bianconeri have their own financial issues to contend with.

But the latter may feel that they have an ace up their sleeves.

20-year-old midfielder Miretti has been a first-team regular since last season.

But at the same time, Miretti may be a player who Juventus would be willing to sacrifice.

And the 20-year-old would certainly be an enticing target for Monza.

The Brianzoli have done well signing young Italian players and then developing them in recent seasons. Colpani himself is a perfect example of this.

Therefore, Tuttosport reports, Juventus could aim to get a deal done ahead of Inter by offering Miretti in addition to a fee.
