AC Milan are close to being able to announce the renewal of Primavera captain Kevin Zeroli, according to the latest from Fabrizio Romano.

Zeroli officially made his debut in Serie A this season coming on in the match against Sassuolo on December 30 which was won 1-0 thanks to a goal from Christian Pulisic, and it was an emotional moment for a player grew up a fan of the club in Busto Arsizio, about 35km from Milan.

Since then though he has not been seen much, largely because Milan now have a fully fit midfield department barring Tommaso Pobega who continues to recover from his operation, but his agent Rafaela Pimenta stated last month that a permanent move to the first team is the target.

Zeroli was the hero from the penalty spot once again yesterday as Milan Primavera beat Real Madrid 4-3 in a shootout after a 1-1 draw in normal time to reach the UEFA Youth League final four for the second straight season.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the good news does not stop there because Milan ‘are closing in on new deal for 2005 born talent Kevin Zeroli’. Talks are ‘progressing well with his agent Rafaela Pimenta’.

He adds: ‘Negotiations underway, it’s expected to be completed soon as Milan trust him for present and future’.
