Daniel Maldini has done very well since joining Monza on loan in January, with the club now keen on keeping him permanently. Talks are ongoing with AC Milan and it seems an agreement will be reached, according to a journalist.

Maldini decided to cut his loan at Empoli short due to a lack of playing time, immediately signing for Monza on a six-month loan instead. Since joining Raffaele Palladino’s side, he has bagged four goals and one assist, with a few of those being important goals.

According to Nico Schira, Monza are currently in advanced talks with Milan over a permanent deal. There is also a contract until 2028 ready for the player to sign, which would make him a fundamental part of the Monza side.

Daniele Longo has previously reported that Milan could accept a fee of around €5m, which would be a total capital gain for the club. It remains to be seen if the season finale can change anything, but it seems Maldini himself also is keen on making the move permanent.

Monza will take on Fiorentina on Monday evening and although Maldini has done well, he might not start in that game. Monza have no doubts about the future, though, very keen on securing his services.
