Check out today’s latest news updates from Serie A, including the latest on Evan Ndicka’s condition, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s absence from Napoli training, Juventus losing an arbitration case against Cristiano Ronaldo and the previews of Atalanta, Roma, Milan and Fiorentina’s quarter-finals in the Europa and Conference Leagues.

Sky Sport Italia confirmed that Roma defender Ndicka underwent further medical checks in the Italian capital on Monday, having collapsed on the pitch against Udinese on Sunday. The latest updates reveal that there has been no heart condition detected as of yet.

Napoli were paid a visit by former forward Dries Mertens on Wednesday, but there were concerns among the camp as current star Kvaratskhelia missed the team’s training session due to a bout of gastroenteritis.

Football Italia also understands that Fabio Miretii is back in full training with Juventus, while Polish pair Arkadiusz Milik and Wojciech Szczesny continued to train partially with the first-team.

Other reports featuring Juventus suggest that Federico Chiesa could face punishment for his outburst with coach Massimiliano Allegri during the 0-0 draw in the Derby della Mole against Torino at the weekend, as reported by Calciomercato.com.

Other Serie A news and updates

Cristiano Ronaldo has won an arbitration case against his former club, Juventus, which now owes the Portuguese star almost €10m plus interest. However, CR7 had to share responsibility with the Serie A giants for the salary manoeuvres in 2020 and 2021, so he won’t get the full €19.5m sum in outstanding wages.

Four Serie A sides in Atalanta, Milan, Roma and Fiorentina will be in European action, as the second legs of the Europa League and Conference League quarter-finals are due to take place on Thursday.

Daniele De Rossi has conducted his pre-match press conference ahead of the all-Italian clash against Milan at the Stadio Olimpico. Stefano Pioli is expected to address the media later on Thursday evening.

Gasperini has had his say ahead of the visit from Liverpool, whom he warned could pull off the unthinkable, despite La Dea possessing a 3-0 advantage from the first leg at Anfield.

Vincenzo Italiano was also up for Fiorentina. He is aware that his side need to be more clinical in front of goal if they wish to progress to the Conference League semi-final.
