Sevilla would like to maintain the services for Lucien Agoume, but they will be hoping that Inter Milan grant them a discount.

The 22-year-old started his campaign with the Nerazzurri but found himself at the very bottom of Simone Inzaghi’s pecking order. He only made a single appearance during the first half of the season, earning a few minutes in the process.

Therefore, the midfielder joined Sevilla on loan in January in search of additional playing time. The Andalusians have the option to buy him at the end of the season for 8 million euros.

According to Tuttosport via FcInterNews, Sevilla are hoping to keep Agoume for next term as they seek to build a young squad.

The Europa League serial winners endured a torrid start to the campaign. They were even facing the threat of relegation but have now secured salvation by reaching a mid-table spot.

For his part, Agoume has recently returned to the starting lineup. He has made eight appearances in La Liga and one in the Copa del Rey.

Sevilla To Ask Inter Milan For A Discount On Lucien Agoume

Nevertheless, the source claims that Sevilla still have doubts about the Frenchman’s physical condition, as he previously missed two months of action due to an injury.

Therefore, the Spaniards don’t want to spend 8 million euros on his redemption. As the Turin-based newspaper explains, they will ask Inter for a discount up to 5M or even less.

The report also notes that the Nerazzurri find themselves in a tight spot as the player’s contract will expire in 2025.

The France U21 international is a youth product of Sochaux who joined the Serie A champions in 2021.

The young midfielder had previous loan spells at Spezia, Stade Brestois and Troyes.
