Sky Sport Italia reports Milan owner Gerry Cardinale has decided against hiring Damien Comolli so the Rossoneri’s first team will continue with the current management.

Milan were reportedly considering hiring Toulouse President Comolli as their new CEO over the summer, but the latest report from Sky Sport Italia claims Cardinale has decided to continue with the current management in 2024-25.

According to the report, Cardinale met with Milan executives on Friday morning and decided that the first-team directors would remain unaltered in the following season.

This means Giorgio Furlani is expected to remain in charge as Milan’s CEO, Zlatan Ibrahimovic will continue in his advisory role, Geoffrey Moncada will be the technical director and Antonio D’Ottavio will continue covering the role of sports director.

Sky Sport Italia reports that only ‘sensational surprises’ would change the current scenario and the club’s assets.

Cardinale was at San Siro last night, where he witnessed Milan’s 1-0 to Roma in the first leg of the Europa League quarter-finals.

The Rossoneri return to the pitch on Sunday in a Serie A match against Sassuolo at the Mapei Stadium.
