Marouane Fellaini has started to become emblematic of David Moyes era futility. As the one major summer transfer window signing post Sir Alex Ferguson, Fellaini needs to absorb some of that angst against the Manager that brought him here. Instead he receives about a fraction of the backlash that we see for Moyes.
Well, one Spanish publication tore Fellaini a new one. At least indirectly or inadvertently.
We’d assume that Spanish Daily AS’s Marouane Fellaini rating was a typo, if it wasn’t for the Belgian international’s historically bad performance in the Champions League Quarterfinal versus the German Bundesliga Champions..
Marouane Fellaini was hopeless for Manchester United as they tied Bayern Munich 1-1, looking clumsy and failing to use his 6-4 frame and athleticism to capitalize. Fellaini’s miserable performance; which earned no rating at all, may have something to do with why Bayern beat United on completed passes by about a 7 to 1 ratio. Which was pretty ridiculous.
