Spurs push for Bayer Leverkusen defender Edmond Tapsoba

Tottenham are the team with the best chance to sign Bayer Leverkusen star Edmond Tapsoba.

The 6ft 4in centre back is a huge target for recently hired Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou.

Per Spurs guru Patrick Berger, the club are ready to put in a 39 million offer to tempt Bayer Leverkusen to sell.

While Leverkusen boss Xabi Alonso does not want to lose Tapsoba, the decision may be out of his hands.

Arsenal and Chelsea are the two other teams who are chasing the Burkina Faso international.

However, both clubs have spent a lot of money this summer and may not be able to match Spurs' bids.
