Hughes who managed the player while at Blackburn Rovers and most recently QPR knows the player capability and what he could contribute to his team.
The Sentinel quotes the new Stoke City boss as saying.
“Junior is a very good player and somebody I have worked with before. He’s obviously started off the season well, but I’m not sure if he’s available. If we are able to bring in players of that quality we will try and do that.”
The player is now playing in the Championship with QPR and is off to a fine start scoring in their 1-1 draw at Huddlersfield.
After suffering back to back relegation from the Premier League with Blackburn and recently QPR the Canadian will no doubt welcome the opportunity to play another season of top flight football.
