A sixth consecutive loss in the Derby della Madonnina delivered Inter their second star at San Siro. For AC Milan fans, few sentences could be worse than that, and today, a report has offered some insight into how Gerry Cardinale experienced Monday’s game.

On so many levels, Milan were sub-par against an Inter side that did not have to exit first gear, and for several reasons, that is bitterly disappointing, especially when considering the magnitude of the game and the recent results that the Rossoneri have fallen to.

It’s the second consecutive loss that Cardinale has seen at San Siro, after being a spectator to AS Roma’s 1-0 victory in the Europa League and taking into account the context provided by the rest of the season, the loss in the Derby, in that manner, will mean that action is taken.

As Gazzetta dello Sport (via Radio Rossonera) reports, the Diavolo’s owner was cold in the stadium after the defeat, after another objective failed to be completed by his side. Therefore, after Milan’s surrender to their biggest rival, intervention will be needed, starting with the expected change in head coach.

This summer was already expected to be pivotal for the Rossoneri, but after recent displays which the report calls ‘the worst images’, there is a desire to improve immediately, and drastic action may be taken.
