Milan still haven’t opened contract talks with Theo Hernandez as at least four clubs continue to gear up for a possible summer move.

The 26-year-old Frenchman has continued to prove himself one of the best left backs in European football this term, despite often having to fill in as a central defender when needed. He has scored five goals and provided 10 assists in 3410 minutes of action across 38 games.

Theo Hernandez’s current contract with Milan expires in June 2026 and the club are keen to set up a new deal ahead of the summer, aware of the growing interest. Worrying for fans, the Rossoneri are also open to offers should the right proposal arrive for stars like the Frenchman or Mike Maignan.

Theo Hernandez situation

Transfer market expert Matteo Moretto provided an update on Theo Hernandez’s future at Milan via Caught Offside.

As of now, contract renewal talks still haven’t been opened between the two parties yet. Bayern Munich is seriously interested in the 26-year-old as a possible replacement for Real Madrid target Alphonso Davies.

Multiple Premier League clubs as well as some in Saudi Arabia are also keen on a deal. Milan would want around €70-80m for Theo Hernandez and for the time being no offers have arrived yet.
