Tottenham considering summer move for 28-goal Bundesliga attacker

Tottenham are interested in the services of Serhou Guirassy as their search for a new striker continues.

While the North London club have coped well with the absence of Harry Kane and Son Heung-min has done a great job leading the line, Tottenham are desperately looking for a new number nine and according to Paul O Keefe, Serhou Guirassy is one of the names on their wishlist.

As Spurs look for a number 9 for next season among those under consideration are Gimenez, Toney, Guirassy, Openda and Gyokeres.

Guirassy has only gone from strength to strength since making the move to Germany from Stade Rennais. He joined VfB Stuttgart on a season-long loan in 2022 and on the back of his sensational debut season, the move was made permanent last summer.

In his first season in Germany, the former Stade Rennais striker found the back of the net on 14 occasions in his 29 matches. He seems to have taken his game to another level this term as the 28-year-old has 28 goals in 29 outings. His sensational form in front of the goal hasn’t gone unnoticed and Tottenham are one of the clubs keen on his signature.

Ange Postecoglou is desperate for a new striker in his squad who can add more cutting edge. The Australian manager feels that Spurs will need more firepower to compete with the best teams in the country and Guirassy’s arrival could be a huge boost for them.

He has been scoring goals for the fun over the last two seasons and given the fact that he has a release clause worth just €17.5 million. He is a bargain option for the North London club.
