Tottenham ‘following’ 23-year-old Arsenal target who visited London with agent
Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

Tottenham Hotspur are one of the clubs keen on signing Santiago Gimenez from Feyenoord.

A report from Calciomercato. It claims that Arsenal are keen on signing the 23-year-old Mexican striker as well. He has been in impressive form this season, scoring 24 goals in all competitions.

The striker helped Feyenoord win the league title last season and he proved to be a quality acquisition for the two North London clubs.

The report claims that the Premier League clubs are ‘following’ the 23-year-old striker with great interest. It will be interesting to see if they decide to come forward with an official proposal to sign him.

The Mexican will want to compete at the highest level and a move to Arsenal or Liverpool will be quite tempting. Arsenal are one of the biggest biggest club in the world and they have been fighting for the league title since last season. They need an upgrade on Gabriel Jesus, who has scored just four goals in the league this season.

Similarly, Tottenham need to bring in a quality long-term replacement for Harry Kane who left the club at the start of the season. Tottenham have missed a reliable goalscorer like him this season.

Signing the 23-year-old could prove to be a good decision for both clubs, and it remains to be seen whether they are ready to pay up for him.

The striker recently fuelled further speculations surrounding his future when he visited London with his agent and family. It is still unclear whether he spoke with potential suitors regarding a summer move during his trip to London. The players representatives were present at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium, watching the North London Derby between the two clubs.
