Two of the most exciting teams in the Premier League go head-to-head on Saturday, February 10, as fifth-place Tottenham Hotspur host eighth-place Brighton. With both teams looking to secure European football next season, here’s how we expect Spurs to lineup.

Tottenham Hotspur Predicted Lineup vs Brighton In Battle for European Places

Tottenham Hotspur Recent Form and Tactics

Tottenham’s formation this season has been consistent, with the team set up in a 4-2-3-1 formation for most games. This is how it looked in their last outing, a 2-2 draw at Goodison Park where for the most part, they looked a bit flat with James Maddison and Rodrigo Bentancur clearly not fully fit.

With Yves Bissouma returning from AFCON, we could see him slot in as a single pivot as the Lilywhites opt for a 4-3-3 with two attacking central midfielders in Maddison and Bentancur.

They have had a bit of a mixed bag of results recently, having won two, drawn two, and lost one of their last five matches in all competitions. This patchy form comes with a caveat – of missing key players due to injury, suspension, and international duty during this time. Players like the previously mentioned Bissouma are starting to return, and the squad should be looking a lot fuller for the final Premier League run-in.

Tottenham’s tactics have been consistent throughout the season under Ange Postecoglou, with high intensity and quick movement. The Australian manager has not shied away from his preferred methods of play, regardless of which players he has available. The football on the pitch should be closer to what we saw during the first ten matches of the season, with key players returning to the squad

Tottenham Hotspur Injuries to Consider

For the first time this season, they look like they have a full squad together. Giovani Lo Celso has returned to full training, leaving Manor Solomon and Ryan Sessegnon as the only absentees.

Joining Bissouma in returning from international duty, as is Heung-min Son, who returned to London on Thursday following South Korea’s shock Asian Cup exit.

Tottenham Hotspur Predicted Lineup
