Tottenham Hotspur Predicted Lineup vs Wolves: Key Defenders Miss Out

How Tottenham Hotspur Have Lined-up Recently

Tottenham’s formation this season has been consistent, with the team set up in a 4-2-3-1 formation for most games. This is how it looked in their last outing, the aforementioned win against Brighton where Ange Postecoglou started Rodrigo Bentancur and Pape Matar Sarr in the double pivot in midfield and James Maddison as the creative attacking midfielder.

We expect Spurs to stick with this formation, especially as all their first team midfielders are fit and available.

Tottenham Hotspur Recent Form and Tactics

They have had a bit of a mixed bag of results recently, having won two, drawn two, and lost one of their last five matches in all competitions. This patchy form comes with a caveat – of missing key players due to injury, suspension, and international duty during this time.

Tottenham’s tactics have been consistent throughout the season under Postecoglou, with high intensity and quick movement. The Australian manager has not shied away from his preferred methods of play, regardless of which players he has available. The football on the pitch should be closer to what we saw during the first ten matches of the season, with key players returning to the squad

Tottenham Hotspur Injuries to Consider

The big news coming out of Spurs’ live training session on Thursday was the absence of fullback duo Destiny Udogie and Pedro Porro. Both have excelled under Postecoglou this season in a unique fullback role and their absence will undoubtedly disrupt the fluidity of the team.

The manager confirmed that Udogie, who had gotten a knock in the last match will miss this week along with Porro, who picked up a strain in training.

Second choice goalkeeper Fraser Forster is also set to miss a couple of months with a foot fracture.
