Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on a move for Santiago Gimenez at the end of the season.

According to a report via Fichajes, Tottenham have set their sights on signing the 22-year-old striker and they could look to make a move for him in the summer. Gimenez has been in impressive form this season, scoring 24 goals across all competitions. He could solve Tottenham’s goalscoring problems next year.

The North London outfit chose not to replace Harry Kane properly at the start of the season and they are in need of a reliable finisher now. Gimenez could lead the line for Spurs and allow players like Son Heung-min and Richarlison to operate in a more natural role.

Tottenham have put together an exciting squad and they are pushing for Champions League qualification. They will be hoping to compete for major trophies in the coming seasons and they need to strengthen their squad in the summer. Signing a quality striker should be one of the top priorities and Gimenez certainly fits the profile.

The 22-year-old is still quite young and he is likely to improve further with coaching and experience. He could develop into a world class striker with the right guidance. Regular football in England could accelerate his development and help him fulfil his tremendous potential.

A move to the Premier League will be an exciting step up for him, and he would get a test himself against the best defenders in the world. It will be interesting to see if the Mexican can hit the ground running in English football and transform Tottenham in the final third.
