Tottenham keen on 19-year-old attacker, agent set to open talks with selling club

Tottenham are keen on acquiring the services of Barcelona attacking sensation Vitor Roque.

The North London club were interested in signing Brazilian wonderkid Vitor Roque before he made the move to Barcelona in January. Things haven’t gone according to plan for the teenager at the Spanish club and according to a report from AS via SportWitness, Tottenham are prepared to act if Roque chooses to leave.

The player’s agent is set to open talks with the Catalan giants about his situation at the club. The 19-year-old was on the radar of some of the biggest clubs in Europe before he ended up joining Barcelona in the winter from Athletico Paranaense.

Since making the move to the Spanish giants, he has featured in only 13 matches and despite having found the back of the net twice, he has been on the pitch for just 310 minutes.

Roque is not happy with the limited game time he has had under Xavi. His agent Andre Cury is all set to travel to Barcelona to speak with people at the club about the striker’s situation. While the Spanish giants want to send him out on loan, the agent is quite clear that the player will continue at Camp Nou or look for a permanent switch elsewhere. They do not seem to be interested in a loan switch at this point.

Multiple clubs from across Europe have already made their interest known. According to the report, Tottenham are the ones who are very serious about signing him. While other clubs have only made enquiries about the availability of the 19-year-old, the North London club have already knocked on his door. They have made it known that they are ready to sign him if he is made available.

Tottenham are keen on signing Roque as they look to reinforce their attack and it remains to be seen whether they follow up with an official proposal in the coming weeks.
