However, according to HITC, Tottenham’s preference is to extend Werner’s loan for another season until the summer of 2025 rather than triggering the option to buy and secure him on a permanent basis.

As per the report, if Spurs choose to sign the German international permanently, it would involve a modest transfer fee of £15 million, a commitment the North London outfit are reportedly hesitant to make.

With the European Championships looming and the expiration of the buy option before its start, Spurs must make a timely decision regarding whether they want to make the purchase.
