Tottenham Hotspur will look to bolster their attack ahead of next season and they have their eyes set on Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak.

According to a report by the Sun, Spurs are planning to make a move for the £100m-rated Swedish sensation.

Isak arrived at Newcastle in the summer of 2022 when they forked out £60 million to prise him away from Real Sociedad. He has shown great promise since arriving at the club. In the ongoing season, he has 19 goals and an assist in his 32 outings.

Newcastle could be forced to sell Alexander Isak

While injuries have troubled him, he seems to be back at his best. Eddie Howe is quite clear that the Magpies have no intentions of selling the 23-year-old, but their financial situation could force them to consider the possibility.

They might have to cash in on the Swedish international to navigate FFP rules, especially if they finish outside of the European places. Meanwhile, offers from top clubs will be hard to ignore.

Tottenham decided against signing a new striker last summer despite parting ways with Harry Kane. While they have managed to cope with his absence by using their experienced wingers in more central roles, Ange Postecoglou now feels the need for a top striker to help him take the next step.

Isak is quite high on his wishlist and Spurs have already started working on a potential deal to land the £100m-rated star at the club. While the Magpies have no intentions of selling him, the 23-year-old is open to a switch if the right offer arrives.
