Tottenham set to return for 2023 target this summer, star will cost just €15 million

Tottenham are interested in signing the Union SG defender Koki Machida at the end of the season.

According to Voetbal Krant, Tottenham are looking to sign the 26-year-old Japanese international and they will have to pay €15 million for his services. Apparently, the North London club wanted to sign him at the start of the season as well and they are ready to return for him this summer.

He has been a key player for Union SG and the Belgian outfit are prepared to let him join a big club in the summer. It remains to be seen whether Tottenham can complete the transfer in the coming weeks.

It is no surprise that they are looking to bring in another central defender and the Japanese international could prove to be a useful acquisition. Tottenham need more depth in the defensive unit and Machida could compete with the likes of Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven and Radu Dragusin for the starting spot.

The 26-year-old Japanese international is at the peak of his career and he will look to play for a big club. Tottenham could provide him with the opportunity to showcase his qualities in the Premier League and compete for trophies.

The London club have put together an exciting squad and they will look to compete for trophies next season. Machida could be a useful acquisition for them. They need a deeper squad with more quality in order to complete across all fronts and signing the Japanese international for a reasonable fee would be a wise decision.

The defender certainly has the quality to justify the €15 million investment and he could even prove to be a bargain if he manages to settle into the Premier League quickly.
