Spurs will have to fork out €45 million to sign Barcelona sensation Vitor Roque.

Roque seems all set to part ways with Barcelona just months after joining them. Things haven’t gone according to plan for him at the Spanish club and he has been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur.

According to a report from UOL, the Spanish giants are looking for a fee of €45 million for their teenage attacking sensation.

He was on the wishlist of some of the biggest clubs in world football but the Catalan giants managed to sign him from Athletico Paranaense at the start of the year. Barcelona signed him in a deal worth €74 million with €40 million as a fixed fee.

Since making the move to Spain, he has only been involved in 13 matches and has racked up just over 300 minutes of first-team football despite having found the back of the net twice. The 19-year-old striker and his representatives are not happy with his situation at the club. Roque is out of Xavi’s plans and the Spanish club are looking to sanction his permanent departure in the summer.

Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham are one of the clubs interested in his signature. Spurs decided against signing a replacement for Harry Kane last summer but they now want to incorporate a new number nine into their squad.

They are looking for someone who can help them in the short as well as the long and Roque seems to be a perfect fit for the club. He is already at a very high level and given the kind of potential he has, the teenager will only get better with time. With Barcelona looking for €45 million, it will be interesting to see if the North London club are willing to meet their demands.
