Tottenham willing to listen to offers for 23-year-old after just six appearances with the club

Tottenham are ready to part ways with Djed Spence ahead of next season.

The North London club are expected to back Ange Postecoglou in the upcoming summer transfer window on the back of his impressive start at the club. They will look to make multiple signings to reinforce the Australian manager’s squad and they are also planning to offload players who are surplus to requirements.

Djed Spence is one of the players who will be shown the exit door in the summer according to Pete O’Rourke via Football Insider. The 23-year-old’s move to the English giants hasn’t really gone according to plan.

After an impressive rise at Middlesbrough, Tottenham signed him in the summer of 2022.
Since joining the North London club, the full-back has only featured in six matches for their first team and has had multiple loan spells. He has failed to earn a place in Postecoglou’s squad. The 23-year-old has been a part of three different clubs on loan over the past 18 months.

Spence is currently on loan at Genoa where has featured in 10 matches and has done a decent job. It will be interesting to see whether they decide to trigger the buy option in his deal.

He is still expected to return to his parent club in the summer where his contract runs until 2027 and it seems they are ready to listen to offers for his services. The North London club are looking to offload the 23-year-old so that they can raise funds and make way for a new signing.
