Cremonese left back Emanuele Valeri has turned down two offers from Serie A clubs as he waits to join Lazio on a free transfer.

The Biancocelesti were interested in signing the Italian full back last summer and have continued to follow his development at Cremonese, where he impressed in their topflight campaign last season.

Lazio picked up Luca Pellegrini to strengthen their left back role this summer but the club are continuing to look ahead to the future.

As reported by Alfredo Pedulla, Valeri has rejected offers from Bologna and Genoa in recent days as he intends to leave Cremonese on a free transfer in order to join Lazio.

The 24-year-old therefore may spend this season in Serie B before leaving when his contract expires at the end of June next year.

Last season, Valeri scored two goals and provided three assists in 42 appearances across all competitions, seeing 3075 minutes of action.
