Though things picked up drastically in the weeks leading up to the current International break, there was plenty of noise surrounding the future of Chelsea boss Graham Potter following post-World Cup struggles.

The squad dug deep and found a way to dig themselves out of their struggles, due partially to their continued support for Potter. Ruben Loftus-Cheek touched on this when talking with talkSPORT recently.

The Englishman stated that the reality inside the club was very different than it appeared to outsiders and that they all still believed in their manager.

'I think the way it looks from the outside is very different to how we feel in the club... We all believe [Graham Potter's] a good manager. We started really well, we had a difficult patch, but now we’re starting to play better football.'

He also mentioned that this support for Potter was unwavering, contrary to many reports that claimed uncertainty amongst the players.

'Through that difficult patch, we stuck together and were behind him 100%. The way it looked from the outside maybe it didn’t look like that, but from me, and behalf of all the players, we were right behind the manager and believed.'

This belief in Potter will need to continue if the Blues hope to salvage their season.
